Hatters snap up Lafayette
Luton Town have confirmed the signing of Welling United striker Ross Lafayette.

The 28-year-old’s arrival had been touted for the past week, but he finally put pen to paper on a two year deal at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Lafayette netted an impressive 16 goals in the Skrill Premier for Welling last season, including a superb strike against the Hatters at Park View Road in April.
Hatters boss John Still told the club’s official website: “Ross is a player we have had on our radar for a number of years, he’s always someone we’ve had in mind.
“He was one we thought about signing had we not captured Paul Benson. We signed Paul so we left it there, but subsequently he went on and enjoyed a terrific season with Welling last year.

Hatters chief: I picked the wrong team for Bristol City defeat
“He showed that he could make the step-up from the Conference South to the Conference Premier. Ross has a lot of ingredients which make him an ideal signing. He’s quick, he’s strong and he knows how to score goals.
“However, the one thing that stood out for me during the talks was the player’s hunger and desire to do well for himself. That was the key.
“Ross knows that he’s got to work his absolute socks off to do well at Luton Town to be a success and I back him 100 per cent to do exactly that.”
