Luton boss Nathan Jones might not have a fully fit squad available just yet when he takes on former club Stoke City this weekend.

Although both full backs Dan Potts and James Bree are making good progress after missing out recently with foot and knee injuries, the contest might just come too early for the pair.

Jones said: “They’re both back on the grass training.

“Potts is slightly ahead of Bree, so we’ve got a decision, but I think if we had another week we’d get pretty much everyone back.

“It’s just for one or two the game’s probably come a little early, but we’re in a good place.”

Meanwhile, when asked about centre half Tom Lockyer, who is still yet to feature in the league for Luton after joining from Charlton Athletic in the summer, missing the Wycombe win with an ankle injury, Jones added: “He’s very good, trained really well.

“We just had to take him out of the Wycombe game, which enabled him moving forward to be in a far better place and he is in a far better place now.

“The games are coming thick and fast, so we’re going to need that depth.”
