Luton started by defeating TSV Kottern 1-0 and then followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Austria Wien.

The youngsters went on to beat both Düsseldorf and Brünninghausen 2-1 to top the group with 10 points, and set up fixtures with Swedish and Italian giants Brommapojkana and Juventus.

Town lost 1-0 to an impressive Brommapojkana side in their first game, albeit to a controversial penalty decision, meaning they had to beat Juve to qualify.

They duly delivered a 3-2 win with goals from Harvey Williams (2) and Ed McJannet, with fine displays from Freddie Newton and Gabriel Ryan in a superb giant-killing.
