Hatters’ starlets gave away nearly two years in age and U15-16 Academy manager Joe Deeney said: “Overall it was an outstanding effort from all the players playing a year up against many full-time academies. The desire, togetherness and work ethic amongst the players was exemplary.

“To concede two goals and keep six clean sheets in seven games is a great testament to the team. Goalkeeper Connor Stanbridge and the back three of Harry Tamplin, Benji Crilley and Jake Snooks played every minute of every game on tour and were excellent.

“Every one of the players contributed to a wonderful achievement and I am personally very proud of the players and was great to bring home the trophy.”
