Hayrettin: Hall addition might not be the last

The 27-year-old, who has played under Town boss John Still when in charge of Dagenham & Redbridge, was paraded in front of the Kenilworth Road crowd during the half time interval as Luton defeated Cambridge 3-2 yesterday.

Hayrettin said: “He’s an exciting player, he’s played at a higher level. He’s someone that the manager knows very, very well and has been tracking.

“He’s got very, very good feet and he’s quick with it. He runs at people and he’ll definitely add to what we’ve got.

“Hopefully he’ll have an enjoyable stay here and be a part of what the manager’s trying to do.”

With the transfer window closing at 11pm on Monday evening, Hayrettin confirmed the Luton chief was still looking to bolster his squad ahead of a second successive promotion push.

He continued: “That’s one crossed off and he’s working hard to bring another one in if that’s what he’s said.

“When you’ve got someone like our manager here, whose experienced, he’s been doing the job a long, long time.

“Timing is the key and it was the right time for us to bring a player in.”

Midfielder Jonathan Smith was pleased to see the recruitment of Hall as he said: “We’ll welcome him to the squad and anyone with a bit of quality is good.

“I’ve played against Ryan Hall in the past so I know what a good player he is and what quality he can bring to the team.

“He’ll want to be out there playing in front of that support.”

Meanwhile, defender Luke Wilkinson added: “I guess he’s (Still) trying to bring in players to help us until the end of the season and the future.

“Hopefully he’ll do well, we’ll welcome him in and I’m sure he’ll be a big hit here.”
