The hosts took a first half lead through Izale McLeod before the striker then raced clear to dink over Mark Tyler moments into the second half.

Hatters gave themselves a lifeline on 71 minutes as substitute Cameron McGeehan popped up at the far post to pull a goal back.

John Still’s men were then on level terms shortly afterwards as Jonathan Smith fired home from 25 fards for his first goal of the season.

However, as is becoming the theme for Town this term, they were undone at the death as Scott Cuthbert saw red for his foul on McLeod and Liam Noble hammered the free kick into the top corner.
