Former Luton Town midfielder Jake Howells has agreed a two year deal at National League club Eastleigh.
The 25-year-old penned a two year deal with the Spitfires this afternoon and is manager Chris Todd’s second recruit since the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
Howells made his debut for the Hatters in July 2007 and went on to play 334 times for the club, scoring 31 goals, before he was released by boss Nathan Jones at the end of the season.
He had originally wanted to stay in the Football League, but has now opted to joined Eastleigh who finished seventh in the fifth tier last season, where he will be reunited with former Luton team-mates Andy Drury and Ross Lafayette.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Howells said: “I am really pleased to be signing for such an ambitious club as Eastleigh and really looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
