Town striker Danny Hylton has been ruled out of tomorrow’s home game against Birmingham City at Kenilworth Road, however defender Dan Potts might be involved for the first time this season.

The 31-year-old forward was missing from Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers due to a calf injury and hasn’t recovered from in time to make the midweek fixture.

Boss Nathan Jones said: “Hylts, no, he’s a week away, but Dan Potts is back involved with us, so he’s closer than Danny.

“Dan is closer than what he was on Saturday as he has trained with us, but Hylts is a week off.

“We had a few knocks (at the weekend) but you get that from a Championship game, so apart from that, it’s all decent and we’re in no worse place than we were on Saturday.”

Defender James Bree upped his game-time on Saturday with another 30 minutes, his second outing after also having the final half hour when Town drew 1-1 at Huddersfield ahead of the international break.

Jones added: “We’ve got to be careful with him as he had no real pre-season, a proper pre-season, because he was in a transitional period.

"Then we signed him and then we had to give him a bit of a microwave pre-season and playing.

“He picked up an injury, he’s playing catch-up, so we’ve got to be very careful with him.

"We have been as we only played him 30 minutes, that allows us to be able to use him on Tuesday.

“Then we have to look after him as we can’t really pushing him 90, 90, 90 as he’s not conditioned to do that.”
