After signing from Dundee in 2001, the Australian centre half became a key member of Town's back-line as the club won the League One title in 2005. However, who would Coyne select in his all-time best XI from players that pulled on a Hatters shirt with him? The Luton News finds out just who made the final cut below.
1. GK: Marlon Beresford
Played 132 times for the Hatters after signing on loan from Bradford City in 2003 and then permanently from Barnsley in 2004.
2. RB: Kevin Foley
Came through the ranks at Kenilworth Road, playing 166 times and scoring five goals until leaving for Wolves in 2007.
3. FB: Matt Taylor
Another who started out at Kenilworth Road, making 146 appearances and netting 17 times until signing for Portsmouth in 2002.
4. CB: Curtis Davies
Continuing a theme as he also started out with Luton, playing 62 times, scoring twice until Town received a club record transfer fee of 3m from West Bromwich Albion in 2005.
