After coming through the ranks to make his debut in September 2003, Brill represented Town in the Championship, played at Anfield and was part of the side who won the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in 2009. However, who would he select in his all-time best XI from players that pulled on a Hatters shirt with him? The Luton News finds out just who made the final cut.
5. CB: Curtis Davies.
Another one of my youth team-mates. His athleticism and powers of recovery were exceptional, as well as being a great character on and off the pitch.
6. MF: Kevin Nicholls (captain).
Joker and one of the biggest characters at the club. Looked after the young players but also kept them in line! Great right foot and wasnt bad at tackling either.
7. MF: Matt Spring.
Had the lot, and a range of passing to admire. Great energy and a super pro.
8. MF: David Edwards.
Energy levels were though the roof, and used them so well to get himself goals, as he had the knack of being in the right place.
