After breaking through the ranks, Boyce spent six years with the Hatters, helping Town win promotion to the old Division Two in 2001-02, before moving to Crystal Palace in July 2004. However, who would he select in his all-time best XI from players that pulled the Luton shirt on with him? The Luton News looks at just who made the final cut.
5. CB: Matthew Upson
Fantastic defender with a magnificent left foot. Went on to play for Arsenal and England. Was part of our successful youth team. He was a leader, good in the air and a very good defender.
6. MF: Adrian Forbes
Lightning quick, his pace always caused the defence problems. Hard worker for the team with his tirelessly running.
7. MF: Matthew Spring
Another player that burst on the scene young and another player that came through the youth team. Had a thunderous shot, loved a tackle and was a driving force in the midfield.
8. MF: Steve Robinson
Excellent footballing brain. Helped bring the best out of me as a full back, making space with his clever runs and positioning, looking to play me in when I was overlapping. Always gave me advice and guided me through my early days.
