Luton Town were knocked out of the Capital One Cup after a 2-1 defeat to League One Swindon Town on Tuesday night.
Midfielder Luke Rooney had put the hosts ahead early in the second half, rifling home from the penalty spot after Nathan Thompson was adjudged to have handled.
But the Robins hit back with spot kick of their own as Michael Smith made no mistake, and the striker sealed the game late on with a moment of real quality to beat Mark Tyler. Rooney was then harshly sent off for an alleged dive in the area as Luton were consigned to an early exit.
