Luton Town were handsome 5-0 winners over Championship side AFC Bournemouth in their first Final Third Development League Southern Division clash of the season at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Midfielder Jim Stevenson bagged a hat-trick, while striker Ross Lafayette scored along with U18s defender Frankie Musonda, although striker Alex Wall was sent off late on.

Trialists Matt Saunders, Ewan McNeil and Jordan Brown all featured too as first team coach Hakan Hayrettin told the club’s official website: “The boys worked really head, pressed high, we’ve just got to compete and that’s what we did.

“That’s what we want from players from our first team, it was a great performance, great result and I can’t ask for anything more than that.”
