Luton Town supporters have been choosing the best free transfer signing made by the Hatters in the past 15 years after a special poll run by the Luton News.

13. Nathan Doyle: 1%
Midfielder joined under previous boss John Still in 2014 after leaving Bradford City, as he was named Supporters Player of the Year that season. A succession of injuries saw him released in 2017.
14. Paul Benson: 0.9%
Striker rejoined his former boss John Still at Luton and was a huge part of the club winning promotion from the Conference. Scoring 25 goals in 85 games and is also now in a coaching role with the club’s academy.
15. Andrew Shinnie: 0.9%
Scottish midfielder came on loan for a season, then moved permanently from Hibernian in 2018 as he featured heavily in Luton’s promotions from League Two and One. Left for Charlton earlier this year and is now with Livingston.
16. James Shea: 0.9%
Goalkeeper was brought in by Nathan Jones to add competition to fellow new signing Marek Stech with Luton in League Two. Now in his fourth year at Kenilworth Road and closing in on 100 appearances.
