Luton Town ended a run of 22 years for their first win at Millwall on Saturday, with a 2-0 success courtesy of Harry Cornick's splendid double. The result continued boss Nathan Jones' habit of putting to bed such lengthy runs for a victory since taking over for his first spell back in 2016. James Collins scored in the second half as Luton ended a wait of almost 25 years for a success at the Millers, with Tony Thorpe’s hat-trick in April 1997 the last time they had managed to take home the points.

Town had gone six matches and almost 40 years without winning at St Andrew’s, claiming just two draws in that time since Mick Harford’s double sealed a 2-0 Division One victory. Dan Potts’ close range header changed that.

The Hatters headed to the City Ground without a victory in 12 games, since March 12, 1983 when Ricky Hill’s goal was enough for a 1-0 Division One success. Ryan Tunnicliffe then struck as Luton returned with all three points.
12. Mar 20, 2021 - Championship: Preston 0 Luton 1
The Hatters had gone 12 games and almost 50 years without winning at Deepdale since Alan Slough's strike settled a Division Two clash in January 1972. A late own goal by keeper Daniel Iversen saw Luton finally triumph.
