Town attacker Tom Ince believes fellow new acquisition Elijah Adebayo will ‘enjoy himself’ at Kenilworth Road after joining on a permanent deal from Walsall recently.

The 23-year-old bagged 10 goals in 25 League Two games for the Saddlers this season, adding to the eight he managed last year, to alert a number of clubs higher up the footballing pyramid.

It looked like Huddersfield were primed to win the race for his signature on deadline day, but when that move fell through, Luton pounced to snap him up for an undisclosed fee.

Although he has only spent a short time training with him, Ince said: “He’s a big boy, that’s for sure.

“I think he’s going to bring a lot of quality, it’s very rare that you see a big target man with such good feet.

“He’s got good pace to him and I think his goalscoring record at Walsall was pretty good as well.

“So when you have a big man at this level that can be mobile and can be playing, that has nice feet, to go alongside (James) Collins and Harry Cornick, there’s plenty of people to fill positions and that’s what you need, competition.

“I’m sure the big man will enjoy himself here, the more and more training sessions he gets.

"He’s playing at a higher level and the early signs are that he’s been really good to look at, so long may that continue.”
