Luton’s on-loan Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown could miss the end of the season after being sent back to Stamford Bridge for treatment on the Achilles injury picked up during the 5-0 defeat to Reading on Saturday.

The 23-year-old was taken off at half time at the weekend and then didn’t feature in Hatters' 1-1 draw against Barnsley on Tuesday night.

Speaking to the press today, Town boss Nathan Jones said; “He’s suffered a little bit in terms of his ankle.

"He picked up a minor injury which we’re going to have to see whether he'll be available or not."

Pressed on whether his campaign, which has been Brown make 28 appearances for Luton and been one of their most creative assets, is over, Jones added: "We’ll have to see, that's all I can say.

"We've sent him back because he's their player so he can medical opinions and then we'll see if we get anything out of him.”
