Hatters boss John Still is planning to have talks with former England international Andrew Johnson about a move to Kenilworth Road tomorrow.
The Luton manager had hoped for a meeting with the striker earlier this week, but they eventually had to be put back until Thursday.
Speaking exclusively to the News/Gazette, Still said: “We put that off, nothing to do with either of us, but we couldn’t get time, so he’s coming in Thursday.
“We’ve got on great, so the talks are not going to be difficult. I don’t know Andrew, but we’ve got on great and I mean really great.”
Any potential deal for the former Fulham and Crystal Palace striker could depend on what sort of role Johnson wants to play at the club too.
Still confirmed he would be happy for the forward to help out with the coaching, but wants him to concentrate on the playing side first and foremost.
