Justham demands winning run for Hatters

The stopper is expected to remain between the posts for Saturday’s huge League Two clash at Southend United.

Both sides require a victory as the Shrimpers have a chance of moving up to third, after winning at Bury on Tuesday night, while Hatters could leapfrog Plymouth Argyle into the play-off places.

Justham said: “We’re looking to get six points, it’s as simple as that.

“It’s not about performance now, it’s about winning, and that’s what we did (against Hartlepool).

“Hopefully we can go up to Southend, get three points and then welcome Stevenage here.

“No-one wants to come here (Kenilworth Road) at the moment I think as we’re getting back on that roll.”

Hatters will be cheered on by more than 2,000 fans at Roots Hall with the club announcing on Wednesday, only 300 of the 2,466 allocation were left.

Justham continued: “I think we’ll take a lot there. I don’t think they’ll want to play us at the moment and we won’t fear them, so it’s all to play for.

Meanwhile, Hatters also confirmed that only 100 tickets remain for Town’s last home game against Stevenage the following weekend, with Graham Westley’s side selling their allocation too.

With a gate of 10,000 on the cards, assistant boss Terry Harris was full of praise for Luton’s support this term.

He said: “They’re fantastic these supporters, they’ve been absolutely superb since we’ve been here. They had some success last season, this year we’ve had a few disappointments on the amount of games we haven’t won, but they’ve been right behind us.

“We just want to say thankyou, and we need them.”

Meanwhile, Harris was delighted his side had given themselves a chance of the play-offs by beating Hartlepool 3-0.

He added: “We knew we needed to get a win to take it on to next Saturday regardless of how the results went elsewhere in the country.

“It takes it on to next Saturday now which is a great game, a good game to look forward to anyway and hopefully we’ll take many supporters down there as well.

“We’ve said to the players for a while, it’s possible, we can do this, please believe what we say, so it augurs well.”
