KENILWORTH Road played host to a cricketing extravaganza at the weekend as Luton Town held a charity Twenty20 match to raise funds for Karen’s Cancer Trust and the Luton Town Community Trust, writes Mike Simmonds.

Pakistan Test star Imran Nazir, a late replacement for Abdul Razzaq, provided the star attraction as he was mobbed for autographs throughout by the crowd and even took to the field in a Hatters shirt when fielding.

Former England stars Phil DeFreitas and Devon Malcolm turned their arms over for Luton, while ex-Town players Mick Harford, Scott Oakes and Marvin Johnson gave up their time, with chairman Nick Owen donning the umpire’s coat.
