Kroca completes Kilmarnock move

SCOTTISH Premier League side Kilmarnock have swooped to sign Luton Town defender Zdeneck Kroca, write Mark Wood.

The popular defender had been believed to be looking for a move back to his native Czech Republic but instead opted for a move north of the border.

Kroca, 30, made his Hatters debut against the Scottish side in a pre-season friendly last season, scoring Town’s only goal in a 1-0 win before sealing a 12-month deal at Kenilworth Road.

Last season he scored seven goals in 55 appearances for the Hatters and is sure to be a big miss next season, although the Hatters had already bolstered their defence with the signing of released Northampton Town centre-half Dean Beckwith.

He joined up with the Ayrshire side today and for the full story see next week’s News/Gazette.
