Lacey so close to a dream debut goal
IMPRESSIVE young defender Alex Lacey almost made a dream league debut for the Hatters when he came within inches of scoring the equaliser against Wrexham on Saturday with his very first touch, writes Mark Wood.
Adam Watkins’ cross picked him out at the far post, but the 17-year-old could only head straight at Joslain Mayebi.
The newly-crowned SOLYD Youth Development Player Of The Season said: “That was my first league game. I really enjoyed it.
“It was great to get on when the manager gave me the nod.”
