The 29-year-old was signed by Hatters last summer from Welling United, but suffered from injuries during the season.

He failed to score in 14 appearances for the club and had loans spells with Woking and former club Welling once more.

Lafayette was then placed on the transfer list at the end of the season along with Alex Lacey, Matt Robinson, Fraser Franks, Curtley Williams and Andy Parry and will link up with former Hatters Dean Beckwith and Craig McAllister, who are both currently with Eastleigh.

Writing about his departure on Twitter, Lafayette said: “Can’t wait to get started at Eastleigh looking forward to enjoying my football again.

“And again huge thank you to all at Luton Town that supported me during my time there! All the best in the future.”
