Lawless: McGurk would fit in well at Hatters

MIDFIELDER Alex Lawless believes that former team-mate David McGurk would be an excellent signing for Luton Town, writes Mike Simmonds.

The York City defender was high on Richard Money’s wanted list before the loan window shut, as the Town boss submitted a number of bids.

The 28-year-old made public his wishes to move to Kenilworth Road, but Minstermen boss Gary Mills eventually rebuffed Town’s advances.

Lawless, who did complete his loan move in November, said: “In the press he said he wanted to move and he’s a good mate of mine.”
