Lawless sees a difference in Hatters under boss Still

Midfielder Alex Lawless believes Hatters’ preparation has been spot on as they attempt to finally lift the Conference title this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 28-year-old is in his third pre-season at Kenilworth Road and when asked if there was a difference under new boss John Still to previous managers, Lawless said: “There is, but there always is.

“For me to be saying yeah there is and who-hoo, would be a little bit too far fetched, but there is a difference and it’s definitely a positive difference, so that’s the main thing.

“When the pressure comes and the league starts it’s totally different. But in terms of the base you need for a good season and a great start, we’ve got it and that’s all you hope for.”

Boss John Still has been busy in the transfer market and although Lawless had a marvellous season, winning a host of supporters awards, he appreciates he will need to battle for his place this term.
