Town defender Peter Kioso completed another 90 minutes as Bolton Wanderers comfortably saw off Salford City 2-0 in their League Two clash broadcast live on Sky Sports on Friday night.

Ian Evatt's side carved open an opportunity inside five minutes when Kioso launched a ball into the box towards Eoin Doyle, whose touch was too heavy.

Doyle did far better on 23 minutes though when picked out by Antoni Sarcevic he kept his cool to find the net.

Kioso was involved in another chance for Bolton, his throw-in met by Sarcevic only for the Trotters skipper to volley wide of the target.

After the break, Town's full back was needed at the other end, producing a vital block to deny Jason Lowe who was teed up by Di'Shon Bernard just outside the box.

Ex-Luton defender Alex Baptiste almost set up Sarcevic for a second, but it was 2-0 on 68 minutes as Jordan Turnbull scored a comical own goal to hand the three points to Kioso and his team-mates.

Neither midfielder Andrew Shinnie or goalkeeper Harry Isted were in action for Charlton Athletic and Wealdstone respectively as their games were called off.
