Luton boss believes some of his players will make it in the Premier League

Hatters manager Nathan Jones believes that a number of his squad could well be playing at the big stages like Stamford Bridge on a regular basis in the future.

The Town chief saw Tammy Abraham’s hat-trick propel Chelsea into the FA Cup fifth round following a 3-1 win on Sunday, and was asked how he felt Leicester City loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had done on the afternoon up against the likes of England international Mason Mount.

Jones was eager to not just talk up the Foxes midfielder's performance on the day though saying: “I’ve got to be honest with you and I shouldn’t say it, there’s a few of mine that will play on this stage, I know it, I believe it and that’s just a testament.

“Kiernan’s brilliant, he’s key in what we do.

“He’s come here and he’s part and parcel of everything and he’s a wonderful player.

“He will have a good career providing he keeps level-headed which I don’t see a problem with, from what I’ve known.

“We’re glad we’ve got him for the time we have, and we’ll send him back to Leicester a far better player.”

Goalkeeper Simon Sluga was another who impressed on the day, making some fine stops, particularly with his legs from Chelsea’s USA international Christian Pulisic twice, before also repelling Timo Werner's late penalty.

Jones added: “He made two really good saves in the game.

“I felt he could have done better with the first goal, it’s his kick that goes straight out of play and gives them that one.

"That shouldn’t have happened, but then he makes amends with two wonderful saves, the penalty save and then one with his feet.”
