Experienced defender Martin Cranie remains a doubt for Luton’s trip to Swansea City this afternoon.

The 34-year-old was recalled to the starting line-up on Wednesday night for the 3-1 win over Norwich City after spending the previous two games on the bench, but had to go off just before half-time after appearing to pull something when sliding in to prevent a Canaries attack.

On his chances of featuring in Wales today, manager Nathan Jones said: “You never know and the ironic thing is it came off the back of a weeks rest.

“I should have just kept ploughing him out as he’s not picked up any injuries since I've been here and he's played a lot of games.

“We took him out of the firing line a little bit to give him a rest and then he’s just tweaked something.”

With Cranie a doubt, then Jones could also be without attacker Elliot Lee and skipper Sonny Bradley, who has a personal issue.

There was better news on Danny Hylton and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu though, who were absent in midweek, where Dan Potts and Brendan Galloway both made the bench, Jones adding: “Hopefully we’ve got Danny back, while Pelly should be back for the weekend.

“Elliot Lee we’re not quite sure about yet, so we need them because the schedule is not relenting in any way so we know we’re going to need them.”
