Luton defender Gabriel Osho has joined Sky Bet League One club Rochdale on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old moved to the Hatters as a free agent in November, having turned down the offer of a new contract at fellow Championship club Reading in the summer.

Osho headed to National League side Yeovil on loan during December, playing four times for the Glovers, before returning to Kenilworth Road making his Town debut in the FA Cup third round victory over his former side the Royals.

The defender had hoped to either fight for his place with the Hatters or move out on loan once more for regular football, with boss Nathan Jones saying after his maiden outing: "We’ve got a decision to make with him, whether we keep him around, or whether we loan him for development, but he showed he can fit in and I thought he was very good.”

Osho moves to a Dale side who are 18th in the table and head to Gillingham this weekend.
