Luton Town have confirmed the signing of highly-rated former Reading defender Gabriel Osho.

The 22-year-old, who can play right-back or centre-half, left the Madejski Stadium in the summer when his contract expired, so as a free agent can join the Hatters outside the transfer window.

Osho spent over a decade with Reading and impressed during the latter stages of last season, making five Championship appearances, including in the Royals 5-0 victory at Kenilworth Road, playing the full 90 minutes at right-back.

He had already gained first team experience in 2017 and 2018, when he spent time with Maidenhead United and Aldershot Town, while also featuring six times for Yeovil during a loan spell at Huish Park last term.

Osho made his Championship debut back in December 2018 against Middlesbrough and went on to make 10 appearances in total for the Royals' first team before deciding to move on.

Speaking to the Hatters' official website, Osho said: "It’s taken a bit of time since I first heard it was a possibility of coming to Luton, but I’m buzzing to be here.

“I made a decision to leave Reading because I wanted an opportunity like this for the next part of my development, and I’m so pleased it’s been sorted and I’m now a Luton Town player.

“I’ve only got good experiences of Kenilworth Road from last season.

"I can’t wait to get started and get back out there in an orange shirt!”
