Luton snap up Crawley midfielder Dance

LUTON Town have completed their third signing of the summer by capturing Crawley Town attacking midfielder James Dance for an undisclosed fee, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 24-year-old, who was in the stands as Hatters went down 3-0 to TNS on Sunday afternoon, has penned a two-year deal, subject to a medical.

Dance, who started his career at Birmingham City, left St Andrews to move to Kettering and played against Luton in Town’s 3-1 win last season.

A string of good performances saw the midfielder snapped up by Conference champions Crawley Town in January, where he played seven games, scoring one goal.

Hatters boss Gary Brabin said: “I’m obviously delighted to welcome James to Kenilworth Road.

“Skilful, very good on the ball, direct, quick and a great taker of set pieces, James will be a fine addition our squad and gives further competition for places in the attacking positions.

“The fact we’ve beaten off a number of clubs for his signature speaks volumes.”
