Luton squad role not enough for sidelined Kissock

THE prospect of spending another season confined to a bit-part role was too much to contemplate for John Paul Kissock after he joined Macclesfield on loan last week, writes Mike Simmonds

The 23-year-old trickster’s signing from Southport had been one of the most heralded of former boss Gary Brabin’s reign as he had been the standout player when Luton went down 2-1 to the Sandgrounders at Haig Avenue in Richard Money’s last game in charge.

He was never really given the chance to show his undoubted talent though after that, as he began just seven league matches for Town, completing 90 minutes on only one occasion.

Kissock only started once under Paul Buckle, the 2-0 win at Fleetwood, and a chat with the manager confirmed it was going to be more of the same this season, leaving him little choice but to seek a move elsewhere.
