Luton Town-linked star's boss speaks out on transfer bid, West Ham fail to land starlet midfielder

Luton Town are gearing up to face Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, and could creep into the top half of the table if they manage to pick up a win and other results go their way over the course of the weekend.

The Hatters find themselves in a little bit of a rut, with three straight losses on the bounce, but should be more than capable of picking up a positive result against the Terriers, who are themselves in a far worse run of form.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, new signing Tom Ince paid tribute to his manager Nathan Jones, who he formerly worked under at Stoke City.

The ex-Liverpool starlet revealed: "I'm grateful for him to give me the call to first of all chance his arm on deadline to see that if I was available and able to come and then once I had a chat with him on the phone, heard the project, the mindset and how he wants to go about the rest of the season, I was more than happy to come down and join him.

"I played a lot of games under the gaffer, the gaffer adopted a diamond formation which has been popular here throughout the years, he adopted that at Stoke and it didn’t quite work out for anyone really, and that’s football."

Here's out rundown of all the latest news and transfer talk from the second-tier, involving Luton Town and a number of their divisional rivals:
