Speaking after the game, Hatters skipper Sonny Bradley was full of praise for young striker Elijah Adebayo, and claimed: “He’s been absolutely tremendous. When he first came in, the manager likes to give players a few weeks to find their feet with the team, find out what we do, but as soon as he was given a real chance, he’s taken that chance.
“He’s not only what you see, for me, it’s not only what you see him playing games as that’s all the fans really see.
“I work with him every day, it’s his attitude and application which allows him to progress and we’ve got a really, really good group of lads who want to learn and are hungry, and he’s exactly the same.
“If he keeps performing in the way that he is, if he comes back even stronger next season, then with more Championship experience, he’s got a real chance of going all the way to the top in my opinion.”
Meanwhile, the club have released their accounts for the 2019/20 campaign, which show a profit of just over £3m - an achievement helped by around £9m in player sales.
