The on-loan Norwich teenager was handed his Hatters debut during their 3-0 Skrill Premier win over Nuneaton.

McGeehan, who has only played for the Canaries’ youth teams, said: “When we played (FA) Youth Cup last year and 21s this year, there’s not that much riding on it.

“Everyone’s trying to not get injured, but this is proper, everyone’s going for it, everyone wants their three points.”

On his new addition, boss John Still said: “I thought Cameron McGeehan was outstanding.

“He showed strength, power, quality and I thought he was immense.

“I remember seeing him as a young boy and he caught my eye, he was always someone I’d had on my list at the right time would be the right sort of person.

“He’s 18 but like Pelly (Ruddock Mpanzu) and Ryan (Inniss), he’s a man.”

Although at Kenilworth Road for a month initially, McGeehan is hoping it may turn into a longer deal.
