McGeehan would love to be a Hatter once more

Midfielder Cameron McGeehan has admitted he would love to pull on the orange shirt of Luton Town once more in the future.

The 20-year-old, who became a real favourite amongst supporters during his loan spell at Kenilworth Road last term, will line up against the Hatters this weekend for Cambridge United.

But speaking exclusively to the News/Gazette, when asked if he could see himself back at Luton one day, McGeehan said: “Yes, I absolutely loved every second of it and learned loads.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but I’ll always be a Luton fan.

“Football’s funny and certain things have to happen for that to come into fruition, but I’d definitely love to come back and put the orange strip on again, that would be great.”

There was a chance that McGeehan would become a Hatter permanently in the summer as Luton made an approach to Norwich, but found the Canaries’ valuation far too high.

McGeehan admitted it would have been interesting to see what decision he would have made had the two club’s agreed a fee and that he had found it odd linking up with the U’s, who were Luton’s main rivals for the Conference title last season.
