McNulty not concerned by Town’s poor away form

Hatters skipper Steve McNulty insists his side’s disappointing away form isn’t a concern for the squad.

Luton head to Portsmouth this weekend and then visit Newport County on Tuesday on the back of a run of just one win in 12 matches on their travels.

McNulty said: “Our away form has held us back, but it’s not as though we’ve gone into the games thinking we’re going to lose.

“We go into them thinking we’re going to win as we don’t go five at the back and try to camp in.

“I don’t think it’s a concern, it’s just one of those things.

“Not winning away from home is nothing to do with not preparing right as it’s only a matter of time before we do get that away win.”

Although Luton have suffered a clear dip in form, McNulty remained in upbeat mood about his side’s chances of a second successive promotion this season.
