The Hatters go into the game without a win in four matches, although they have drawn their past three League Two encounters.

Plymouth are just four points below Town in seventh place, as McNulty said: “We’ll be going to Plymouth to win the game.

“We’ll never go there to just get a point, we’ll be positive and it’s not as if we’re on a bad run and shipping all kinds of goals or not creating chances.

“We’re all going there on a high, but there are no easy games in this league as we’ve just shown that as we went away to Morecambe and lost.”

Recent loan signing Jayden Stockley also thinks that Hatters’ results so far this season means they won’t fear any opponent.

He continued: “Where we are in the league, we shouldn’t be scared of going anywhere.

“We’re more than good enough to put in a performance at those places.

“You’ve got to be compact away from home and we’re definitely taking pride from a clean sheet against Shrewsbury.

“We can take that into the Plymouth game at the weekend.”

Meanwhile, Alex Lawless has declared he is fully recovered from his broken foot.

After completing 45 minutes against Brighton on Monday afternoon, Lawless added: “I’ve not been back in training that long since the fracture, but everything seems fine, so I’m on course to come back.

“I’m itching to come back and play, it’s just a matter of regular training, more development games and then push to try and start in the team.

“It’s going to be difficult, because the lads have been doing well since I’ve been out, but I’ll look forward to those challenges.”
