The summer signing from Boston United was given his first start for the club during Hatters’ 2-1 win at Hartlepool on Saturday and wants to follow that up against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Speaking after the weekend victory, he said: “I’d love to play. I haven’t made my debut at home yet, but it would be brilliant to play a part against Dagenham.

“Hopefully I justified his (John Still’s) faith in me and I will be in contention as I’ve just got to keep working hard now.

“The team spirit and confidence is flying and we just want to keep that going.”

After facing Daggers tonight, Hatters are back at home at the weekend when Northampton Town visit and midfielder Jim Stevenson believes there is every chance they can stretch their winning run, which currently lies at five matches, even further.

He continued: “We’ve got two home games now and with the crowd we’ve got behind us, why not continue on this run?

“If we keep going out there, doing the job as the gaffer keeps telling us to do, in the form we’re in and with the players we’ve got, there’s no reason why we can’t go and win a couple more.”

That view was echoed by top scorer Mark Cullen, who added: “We’re on a great bit of form and go again on Tuesday night.

“The games come thick and fast and hopefully we continue that run.”
