Money: FA Cup incentives are there

Addicks or Bees if Luton get through

LUTON Town chief Richard Money believes the chance to play Charlton Athletic or Barnet in the second round of the FA Cup will act as a huge boost to his side, writes Mike Simmonds

The Hatters entertain Corby Town in a replay on Wednesday, with the winners already knowing whether they will travel to the Valley or Underhill on the weekend of November 27, as Charlton and Barnet square off the night before.

Money, pictured, said: “I think it will be an exciting game and a good game for whichever two teams get through.

“There’s a real incentive if we needed it for both teams in our match to get through and play a league team on their ground.

“That’s going to be exciting for whoever gets through.

“Whoever gets through in the other tie will be looking forward for what they would see as a home match against a non-league team and a chance to get through to the next round.

“So I think there’s incentives in both matches for both teams to win it and good planning from us to be able to watch the game the night before!”
