Money: We should have won at Darlo

LUTON Town boss Richard Money couldn’t hide his disappointment with his side’s 2-2 draw at Darlington on Tuesday night.

Although Hatters showed commendable character to battle back with a late goal from Jake Howells, Money felt his side should have won the game.

He said: “In the end 2-2 was probably a fair reflection of the whole 90 minutes but it was disappointing for us being in that position in the first place.

“We should have been out of sight by half time, we’ve scored, hit the post and the crossbar.

“They started to put us under a bit of pressure, they are what they are, they get the ball forward early and have got some big physical players who are a handful to deal with.

“Overall 2-2 is a fair result, it’s another point but having started way we did, there is a tinge of disappointment we didn’t go on and win.”

Luton weren’t without their chances either as they struck the post and bar, but couldn’t kill the game off.

Money added: “Their keeper made an incredible save from Taiwo Atieno and the one from Claude Gnakpa, I don’t know how that hasn’t gone in.

“Maybe we got a little bit comfortable and when you lose the equaliser it becomes difficult to pick it back up again.

“We had quite a few words to say at half time and responded pretty well, but it’s a game we probably should have won.”
