Luton Town's first home match against fierce rivals Watford for 15 years will now kick-off at 12.30pm this weekend due to avoid clashing with the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral.

The Hatters had been due to take on their opponents at Kenilworth, whom they last hosted in January 2006, at 3pm, but that has now been changed due to the Prince Philip's death aged 99 on Friday.

A statement on the club's official website said: "We can confirm that this Saturday's Sky Bet Championship match against Watford at Kenilworth Road will kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

"The first home derby for 15 years was originally scheduled for 3pm, but has been brought forward as a mark of respect, and to avoid a clash with the funeral of His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"All EFL matches are being moved so that they will not be taking place at the same time as the service at Windsor Castle."
