The 23-year-old joined Hatters last week, his first venture south of the border after spells with Aberdeen, Celtic and then over 120 appearances for Partick, including two seasons in the Scottish Premier League,

On the switch, he said: “I don’t know what level I’m going to be good enough for, I hope I’m going to be more than good enough for Luton, but I’ve never played it (English football) before.

“I’ve seen players I’ve believed are very good who have come down and not done so well, but I’ve seen players who I’ve thought were not so good and they’ve done really well in England.

“So I think it’s all about the individual, how they manage to cope with the change, moving away and everything.

“So I hope I’ll be in a good place, maybe if it does take a bit of time, I’ll be given the time.”
