Hugh Roberts and Sid Hoar were also on target for the Hatters some 105 years ago now, as they eventually finished 14th in the table. Below, the Luton News takes a special look at just who took to the field for Town that day.
5. Robert Frith
Made 33 appearances for Town in the season, going on to feature 80 times in total, scoring once, moving to South Shields after the First World War.
6. Robert Hawkes
Played 31 times in the season, scoring once. Local lad who won gold in the football tournament at the 1908 London Olympics. Made five appearances for England as well as his eventual 410 outings in a Luton shirt.
7. Hugh Roberts
On target for the Hatters that day, scoring one of his six goals that term, as he stayed at Luton for just the one campaign, making 42 appearances.
8. Arthur Roe
Turned out 14 times in the season, scoring twice, as he made 138 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, before heading to Arsenal and then Bournemouth & Boscombe.
