Luton Town clinched the Division Two title 38 years ago today, after a 3-2 home win over QPR on May 11, 1982.

The Hatters, who had already won promotion to the top flight a few weeks earlier, took the lead when midfielder Ricky Hill found the net. Steve White bagged his 18th of the season, with a David Moss penalty enough for the hosts to claim the three points needed to be crowned champions in front of 16,657 supporters at Kenilworth Road. Below, the Luton News takes a special look at just who took to the field for Town that day.
