Pardew admits he’s ‘sad’ to see ex-Luton boss Kinnear depart
Back-tracking Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has claimed that departing director of football Joe Kinnear did a ‘lot of good work’ and was sad to see him go.
Pardew had expressed disappointment at the Magpies’ transfer dealings as Newcastle failed to sign a single player permanently during former Luton Town boss Kinnear’s seven months in the post.
He said: “I’m sad to see anybody lose their job, as Joe has - he did a lot of good work.
“That decision was the board’s. My job is actually the next game.”
