ALTHOUGH not many people will be licking their lips over Uxbridge’s visit to Kenilworth Road in the FA Trophy second round, one Luton Town player has got the date firmly marked in his diary, writes Mike Simmonds.

Teenager Jordan Patrick, who is the club’s youngest ever player, was a second half substitute in the first round replay defeat of Welling United earlier this month.

After making his debut one week shy of his 16th birthday in a League Two match at Grimsby Town back in October 2008, he also came off the bench in a 3-0 defeat away to Shrewsbury Town in November.

Since then though, he has not featured for the first team, but after manager Richard Money admitted he would be utilising his squad for the Uxbridge match, Patrick might finally set foot on home soil for a competitive fixture.

He said: “It would be very special to play at the stadium. I am a Luton boy, so to make my home debut would be a dream come true.”
