After a season in which Town stayed in the Championship thanks in part to the efforts of three loan signings, Cameron Carter-Vickers, James Bree and Izzy Brown, it was time for Hatters fans to pick just who is the best player they have ever borrowed. The Luton News ran a poll selecting 15 of the top temporary arrivals and to see who was crowned the winner, see the results, in ascending order, below.
1. Joint 12th: Izzy Brown - 1%
Midfielder joined on loan from Chelsea last August and went on to play 28 games for the Hatters, scoring one goal, that in the 2-1 win over Charlton.
2. Joint 12th: Dean Kiely - 1%
Goalkeeper arrived at Luton from Portsmouth in November 2006, playing 11 times for the club, before he was signed permanently by West Bromwich Albion just two months later.
3. Joint 12th: Tony Godden - 1%
Stopper joined Luton in 1982 from West Bromwich Albion, playing 12 times, keeping one of the most important clean sheets of his career during the Hatters' famous final day 1-0 win at Manchester City to stay in Division One.
4. Joint 12th: Tom Craddock - 1%
Forward came on loan from Middlesbrough in October 2008, scoring four goals in eight games, as Luton swiftly made the move permanent, signing the attacker for £80,000.
