Rooney’s future with Luton still not secured

The former Swindon and Gillingham wideman who joined Town from Maidstone United is currently out of contract at Kenilworth Road.

Boss John Still said: “Unfortunately, Luke was in Spain and someone pinched his phone.

“So I’ve had to go another route to try and get a conversation with him and hopefully I’ll be able to carry on the talks this week.”

Although Still himself is in Cyprus this week, he admitted that discussions remained ongoing to strengthen his squad in other areas.
