The Hatters have won just one of their last five Championship matches, and have slipped to 15th in the table.

Nathan Jones’ men drew 1-1 with Huddersfield Town last weekend, with an early James Collins strike eventually cancelled out by an effort from Naby Sarr.

For their part, Birmingham have endured a miserable time of late, and are second-bottom in the league after embarking on a winless run of four matches.

Their last result saw them lose a dramatic encounter with Bournemouth last Saturday, with Philip Billing's late goal enough to seal a 3-2 victory for the Cherries.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Prutton is expecting another frustrating affair for both sides.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: “Even when Birmingham managed to get a couple of goals last week they managed to lose against Bournemouth.

"They've been well and truly sucked into the bottom three and there is serious work to be done.

“Luton are slipping down the table. They still have a decent gap on the bottom three, but that can close very quickly.

"Both sides will be a little low on confidence, so I'll say draw.”

Prutton predicts a 1-1 draw at St. Andrews.

Luton Town have failed to win any of their previous four meetings against the Blues, drawing two and losing two.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

Matty Pearson scored for the Hatters to cancel out a Birmingham penalty.
